Westside Elementary Breaks Ground on New Campus Expansion
Palm Bay, FL — Westside Elementary School proudly celebrated the groundbreaking of a transformative new building addition to its campus on Thursday, October 23 at 8:00 AM. This milestone marks the beginning of a project designed to enhance learning environments and support continued student growth across grade levels.

The new facility will feature:
10 state-of-the-art intermediate classrooms
An upgraded STEM lab to foster hands-on science and technology exploration
A dedicated ESE Resource Room for small-group instruction and specialized support
A professional learning space to promote staff collaboration and development
“We are thrilled about the positive impact this expansion will have on our students and staff,” said Stephanie Woodbury, Principal of Westside Elementary. “This project represents our commitment to providing innovative, engaging, and supportive learning environments for every child.”
The expansion will allow Westside to offer more opportunities for special programs and interventions, expand access to STEM experiences, and create a “middle school” atmosphere for sixth-grade students—fostering independence and academic readiness.
Construction is now underway, with completion expected by August 2026.
