Happy Students

We’re excited to share a positive update as we head into the final stretch of the school year!

Thanks to a full school year with no hurricane-related closures, Brevard Public Schools will complete all required instructional minutes earlier than originally planned. Here’s what families need to know:

Key End-of-Year Dates

  • The last day of school for students is Friday, May 22, 2026.

  • Wednesday, May 20 through Friday, May 22 will be early release days to accommodate end-of-year exams.

  • The Challenger 7 modified schedule will also conclude on Friday, May 22, 2026.

·    While teachers will be working on May 26–27 for required planning days, students will not attend school on those dates.

Kindergarten and 6th grade promotion ceremony dates are school-based decisions. Families are encouraged to check directly with their school to confirm ceremony dates and ensure they have not changed.

Childcare Planning: We recognize that this schedule change may impact families. Childcare services are being planned to begin earlier to help accommodate the additional days students will be off school. More details will be shared as plans are finalized.

Seniors & Graduation: Senior testing schedules and seniors’ last days of school are determined by each individual school and are based on graduation dates. Graduation dates are not changing.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support throughout the school year. We’re proud of our students and staff for finishing strong—and we’re looking forward to celebrating a successful year together.
