With a B.S. in Molecular Biology, an M.Ed. in Education Leadership, and an Ed.S. in Instructional Technology, I transitioned from clinical research and quality assurance into education in 2013. My journey began at Cocoa High School, where I taught ESE and middle grade science. Over the next eight years with Brevard Public Schools, I taught ESE, middle grade science, and biology before stepping into leadership roles. I’ve served as a Dean of Students, learning specialist, and currently, as assistant director of Brevard Adult and Community Education. I’m enjoy helping individuals transform their futures through education—whether that means earning a diploma, GED, or advancing through career certifications. I truly believe that education is the key to success

In 2013, Mr. Cross began his career in education teaching ESE(Exceptional Student Education) and mathematics at Cocoa High School. In 2019, Mr. Cross was Cocoa High Schools "Teacher of The Year". From 2017 to 2019, Mr. Cross's ESE middle school math classes had one of the highest average increases on the FSA mathematics examination compared to all other FSA exams throughout the county.

In 2019, he had 96% of his students experience gains with an average increase of 21 points for each student. Because of Mr. Cross's success in the ESE classroom, he firmly believes that all students are capable of success, no matter their educational background. Mr. Cross also coached wrestling for nine year(four years at Cocoa Beach High School and five years at Cocoa High School).

In 2019, Mr. Cross stepped away from coaching to pursue a career in educational leadership. He was a part time night teacher at Brevard Adult Education for two years starting in 2019. In June of 2021, Mr. Cross left Cocoa High School after 8 years to became the new administrator at the Central Brevard Adult and Community Education Center in Cocoa.

Julie Kennedy is a dedicated educational leader with a rich background in teaching and administration. Originally from Staten Island, New York, Julie began her career in education after earning a degree in Elementary Education. She launched her teaching journey in Vero Beach, Florida, as a 5th-grade teacher before joining Brevard Public Schools in 1996.

Over the years, Julie has taught a wide range of grade levels, including 5th and 6th grades, as well as middle and high school mathematics. Her passion for education and leadership led her to pursue a master’s degree in Educational Leadership, which opened the door to administrative roles. She served as the testing coordinator at both Central Middle School and Bayside High School, where she played a key role in academic assessment and student achievement.

In 2022, Julie transitioned to adult education, bringing her experience and enthusiasm to a new audience of learners. She began as a Learning Specialist and quickly advanced to her current role as Assistant Principal. Julie continues to be a strong advocate for lifelong learning and is committed to supporting students and staff in achieving their goals.
